Last week in WWDC 2016 Apple has released the latest version of iOS software and the developer’s version is already available to those who are interested to use it. But it is obvious that the first version of this OS would not be that stable and it will be difficult to use in the iPhone or any other Apple gadget. If you have already downloaded the 1st beta version of iOS 10 and want to revert back to iOS 9.3.2, then here are some steps to do it:

How-to-Downgrade-iOS-10-Beta-to-iOS-9.3.2-on-iPhone-and-iPad

How to Downgrade from iOS 10 Beta to iOS 9.3.2 on iPhone, iPad and iPod

Firstly, you need to take a back up of all the data present in your device in cloud or in your computer.

Thereafter, you have to download the iOS 9.3.2 ISPW which is compatible with your Apple gadget in your computer. To downgrade from the latest to the older version of the software, this is absolutely necessary.

Here is the Download link of iOS 9.3.2 ISPW

A tab is going to appear labeled iOS, click on it some options are going to appear on the screen. Among the different options only iOS 9.3.2 is going to be green color. This mean that you can revert back to only this version of the software. The iOS 9.3.2 version needs 2GB space, therefore your gadget must have that much of free space.

Without iTunes it is not possible to degrade to an older version of iOS, so make sure that you have downloaded iTunes before starting the process. Now, plugin your iPhone or iPad to the PC and click on iTunes. Check the rectangular box in iTunes and find out these options: Check for update or Restore iPhone or iPad or iPod.

Next, if you are using Mac then press on the Alt key and simultaneously click on Check for updates. If you are using Windows OS, press on Shift key and simultaneously click on Check for updates. A pop up box is going to appear with many options. Generally the last of all the options is iOS 9.3.x IPSW, once you have found this option click on it.

After that you will get to see another pop up box on the screen with the following message: ‘iTunes will update your iPod/iPhone/iPad to iOS 9.3.2 and will verify the update with Apple.’ Just below it you will find the update button, click on it.

Instantaneously, the screen on your device will become black and your gadget will be updated. After sometimes the white logo of Apple will appear. Once the process start do not press home button or the screen of the phone as the process might get disrupted. Moreover make sure that the USB connection is strong or else you have to start the process from the beginning.

Different gadgets are going to take different time to update, so wait till your gadget gets updated and then restart the device. If your device is password protected, you have to enter it and then wait for it set up.

Once done, go to Settings and check for the version of software showing there. If it shows iOS 9.3.2, then the downgrade process has been successful.

If you are not ready to take risk with the working of your gadget, then downgrading from iOS 10 is the best option available for you. The best and most stable version of the software is going to be released along with iPhone 7. Then you can easily update it and enjoy all the new updates and tweaks that has been introduced in iOS 10.

After the WWDC 2016 iOS 10’s beta version is already out exclusively for the developers. And to Apple’s dismay within a day or two the OS’s has been jailbroken. The tech expert who has successfully broken the code of iOS 10 have posted a video how he jailbroke iOS 10 and the best part is, it is still working fine.

Screen-Shot-2016-06-17-at-11.55.50

The latest version of iOS 9 i.e. iOS 9.3.2’s code has not yet been broken and the next version of this software i.e. iOS 9.3.3 will be out in sometimes. We think that only when iOS 10 will be out publicly, then only users will be able to break the code.

Though the video proves that jailbreak is possible but until iOS 10 user’s version is released we won’t be able to confirm how reliable it is. It might so happen that Apple is going equip iOS 10 beta version in such a way that the jailbreak process that have been shown in the above video would not work anymore.

CarPlay was first launched with iOS 8 in the year 2014. This app was much better in comparison to its predecessor and in the following year an improvised version of this app was launched along with much needed features. Presently, CarPlay users can have the same experience as that of Apple Music while using it. However, in the next generation iOS, which is going to be introduced in the last quarter of 2016, CarPlay has many more things in store for all its users.

carplay-ios-10

CarPlay is of great help while you are driving the car. It shuts down most of the apps so that you can concentrate fully on the road while driving. You are only going to get alerts if someone is calling you, message alerts or help you in navigating the car in the right direction. An optimized version of these three apps is shown on the screen, along with some of the entertainment apps like Music, audiobook playback etc. CarPlay lets you use music app safely while driving the car.

An innovation that has been introduced in CarPlay in 2016 is that now the users have the option of optimizing the CarPlay app according to their preference. So if you never use Podcast or Audiobooks on CarPlay, you have the option of removing them from the Homescreen. Therefore, now you have the option of exclusively use Apple Music on your CarPlay, though you have another music playing app on your iPhone. Just go to Settings and navigate to General settings and then find out the option CarPlay. Tap on it and thereafter you can keep on adding or removing the apps that you want to see in CarPlay. However, certain apps will be present like Maps, Phone, Messages, Music etc.

Though we can’t remove some of the apps mentioned above, but CarPlay users will have the option of reorganize the apps according to your preference. All you need to do is toggle over to the same CarPlay option through Settings, thereafter press and hold over the icons of the different apps for rearranging it. Users also have the option of hiding apps that they do not use.

The same updated Apple Music app which will be present in iOS 10, will be also present in CarPlay. Apple Music was synced with CarPlay for the first time in iOS 9.3 and it will be present with all the improvisations in the latest version of CarPlay. For example, users will have the option of editing and arranging the different categories in Music app according to their need. Like Albums, Artists, Songs etc according to your own preference.

iOS 10 is coming with some major improvements in Siri, the voice assistant. This is a good news for CarPlay users as Carplay is totally dependent on Siri. Skype, Facebook Messenger and other VoIP apps as well as Phone app are expected to become better with iOS 10. So it might be so that CarPlay will come with the ability to make phone calls with Phone app using internet connection.

Two more features that we expect to see in CarPlay is that, it will have the ability to support wider screen and the CarPlay Maps instrument clusters. That’s all about CarPlay updates that we could gather still now, stay tuned for more updates. We will float the news as soon as we get some positive updates.

With the new Apple mobile operating system, Apple is beginning to allow users to have more control of the software installed in its iOS device. For the first time in the iPhone history, you’ll be able to delete the built-in apps like Music, Calculator, Maps, if it’s not required by the user. All default iOS apps can be found in the Apple App Store, so can just head there and decide which one’s you don’t want.

Although this particular feature went unmentioned by Tim Cook and software boss Craig Federighiat the WWDC. During the keynote, they entirely skipped mention about this. Not because it’s not true, but because of some strange unknown reason we are yet to find out. There are already users who have downloaded the developer’s beta version and they have confirmed about the change. Although some of them also noted that stock apps like Messages, Photos, and Camera could not be deleted probably because the apps were too deeply tied to system to be uninstalled.

Moreover, Apple has set up a Help Page dedicated to ‘how to remove built-in apps’. The company clearly warns users that deleting default apps can create a bit of problem for users, because a lot of data gets removed along the way. For instance, if you remove Music then you’ll lose access to CarPlay. Here’s a list of built-in apps that you can remove from Home Screen:

  • Calculator
  • Calendar
  • Compass
  • Contacts1
  • FaceTime
  • Find My Friends
  • Home
  • iBooks
  • iCloud Drive
  • iTunes Store
  • Mail
  • Maps
  • Music2
  • News3
  • Notes
  • Podcasts
  • Reminders
  • Stocks
  • Tips
  • Videos
  • Voice Memos
  • Watch app4
  • Weather

The feature to be able to remove default apps was hinted by Tim Cook in an interview he gave last September. He said, that Apple was looking to give users more flexibility in cutting down on the amount of software that comes with iOS. “This is a more complex issue than it first appears,” he said. “There are some apps that are linked to something else on the iPhone. If they were to be removed they might cause issues elsewhere on the phone. There are other apps that aren’t like that. So over time, I think with the ones that aren’t like that, we’ll figure out a way.”

Last year iOS 9 brought with it quite a number of changes which was welcomed by Apple users all across the globe. This year as the time for the release of iOS 10 draws near, yet again tech geeks have started speculating about the features of iOS 10. Many improvisations were introduced last year in terms of features, so this year we are primarily expecting changes in the design of the OS. Here are some of the concept designs created by tech geeks primarily featuring design changes.

New iOS 10 Concept Design

Changes in Home Screen

The concept design of iOS 10 has brought about significant changes in the Home Screen. Firstly, for using a particular app, users need not launch the app. All they need to do is swipe down on it and thereafter complete the task. Moreover, users need not open the app for updating it. They can simply swipe down on the app and they will be presented with the options to choose from like updating or deleting it.

Increased Functionality from Lock Screen

Another update expected in iOS 10 is to increase the functionality from locked screen. For example users will have the option of switch on or off the alarm clock without unlocking the phone. They will also have the option of checking the notifications without unlocking the phone. There are also rumors about a dark mode that will be automatically switched on in the night, which is going to be less straining on your eyes.

Multitasking UI

In accordance with the new concept design, the functionality of the user interface is also going to increase a lot. All the apps running in the phone can be seen from the Home screen and users have the option to set different colors for different apps, so they can easily identify which ones are more important. Moreover, it will be possible to close down an app by simply swiping down on it.

The new concept design adds a lot of functions to the design of the OS and makes iOS 10 a lot more user friendly. Therefore, the changes will be definitely welcomed by the users. We will be eagerly waiting for WWDC 2016, where iOS 10 will be unveiled. We welcome your feedback and ideas about add on features that you would like to see in iOS 10 in the comments section.

Apple’s next generation smartwatch which is named Apple Watch S or something similar is due for release this year and that has created a lot of excitement in the cyber space. The Apple lovers are not speculating about the design of this watch, but they are primarily interested in the features that will be updated in the OS of the new watch. Here is a list of updates that we expect to see in the next generation OS of Apple’s smartwatch.

Apple WatchOS 3 Wishlist

Apple-WatchOS-3

Better Fitness App

The present Apple watch does not come with a GPS. Therefore, it is only possible to keep a record of the distance users have run by connecting it to the iPhone. This is set back which users you would love to see addressed in the next generation watch.

Moreover, Apple’s fitness app is not as versatile and dynamic as third party apps. So Apple needs to work on its fitness app to increase its functionality.

Introduce eSIM

Samsung’s Gear 2 is the first smartwatch that is equipped with an eSIM. Introduction of eSIM has helped to reduce the size of the watch and enable the watch to have separate network connectivity. All the major network providers are already equipping themselves so that they can provide the new range of smartwatches with data connection. And the best part is the users can share this data connection in a range of device.

Integrate iOS 9’s Peek and Pop Feature

The ‘Peek and Pop’ feature of iOS 9 allowed users to check different content from the notification center and reply to it from there itself without opening up the app. It would be great if this feature is integrated in Apple Watch OS 3. Having this feature in the small screen of Apple watch will be really difficult, and it would mean that both the software and hardware of the watch needs to be updated. Nonetheless, we would love to see this feature updated in the next generation Apple watch.

Better Battery

aw-battery-1455864245-4BqP-column-width-inline

Short battery life has been a problem with most smartwatches and Apple’s smartwatch is no exception to that. Qualcomm, the company that makes processor for Android wearables is already working on its CPU to make it slimmer with better battery life. Therefore, developer at Apple must also design their gadget’s hardware to meet with this challenge.

The size of Apple watch’s OS must be also reduced to that there is more space for installing apps and data. In the present Apple smartwatch, apps take a long time to load and it is very slow. So the developers at Apple must work on these weak points to give this gadget a competitive edge.

Voice and Gestures Actions

The WatchOS 2 of Apple does not provide any gesture actions. But its competitor Android Marshmallow comes with a range of voice and gesture actions. By flicking the wrist Android watch users can send away or scroll the notifications. With Apple WatchOS 2 it is only possible to flick the wrist to turn it on or cover the watch to silence the gadget. It is time for Apple to integrate gesture actions in their watch so that it can compete with the other smartwatches.

Option to Customize Buttons

The Crown button has limited functionality as of now. Users can only zoom in or out and load apps with the help of it. We would be happy if WatchOS 3 gives users the option customize side buttons according to their needs.

Improvised Siri

In the 2nd generation of WatchOS Siri came with a lot of improvisations like getting access to fitness apps with the help of Siri, Homekit app, Maps etc. But Siri is extremely slow and sometimes come up with wrong answer. Therefore, developers need to work on these two things while developing the WatchOS 3.

Range of Watch Faces

apple-watch-dock-4

The Android smartwatch users have the benefit of changing the watch face by downloading from the innumerable options present on the cyber space. However, Apple smartwatch users do not have such an alternative and they definitely long for one. Therefore, we would definitely like to see this feature integrated in Watch OS 3. Recently, there was a job opening at Apple to work on Apple Watch face which suggests that we can expect this improvisation in the next generation Apple WatchOS.

These are some of the features that we are expecting to be included in the next generation Apple Watch OS. If you would like to see some more variations and changes in the Apple WatchOS 3, please write to us in the comment’s section.
